About me

I am an enthusiastic PhD student interested in the wide range of phenomena that Complex and Dynamical Systems and Network Science theories aim to describe and model.

I am a proud member of the CoMuNe Lab under the supervision of Prof. Manlio De Domenico at the University of Padua. My PhD scholarship is funded by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, Italy where I am collaborating with researchers from the Center for Health Emergencies, guided by Stefano Merler.

I have a M.Sc in Physics of Data (September 2024) where I studied an application of compartmental models in epidemics to forecast the impact of seasonal influenza in Italy. The novelty of this approach is the formulation of mobility of spreading individuals.

Research Interests

In the late part of my studies, I became particularly fascinated by the interdisciplinary challenges that arise when these frameworks are applied to some aspects of social, medical, and biological fields with the aim of describing and understanding their characteristics behaviors through theoretical and computational techniques.

More specifically, during my PhD, I am focusing my efforts towards the study of epidemic models leveraging some tools from Network Science and Machine Learning.

Besides my main research interests, I am also involved in some projects related to the analysis of social networks and microblogging platforms.

About Me

I am originally from Italy, born and raised in a small town near Vicenza. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the nearby hills, especially Monti Berici. I occasionally take photographs of starry skies, trying to capture the beauty of our universe.
